Responsibilities:
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks in alignment with dietary guidelines.
- Teach children about healthy eating, food safety, and cooking techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area.
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate food education into the curriculum.
- Monitor and accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies.
- Engage children in hands-on cooking activities to enhance their learning.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to improve skills.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in food service or culinary education preferred.
- Knowledge of nutrition and dietary guidelines for children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Food Handler's Certification.
- Passion for working with young children and fostering their love for food.
- Creative approach to teaching and engaging children in food-related activities.
- Background check clearance required.
